How to maintain your new hot tub cover?
Your hot tub cover is exposed to elements all year round. The suns UV rays, rain, snow and even ice. Proper maintenance will help your hot tub cover last many years Knowing which products to use and which to not use can play a huge factor on your investment.

The best product to use is a little elbow grease and some hot water. A good way to prolong the life of the cover is by keeping it clean and conditioned. Using products such as Ultra shine vinyl & Leather cleaner. Using products like those can help protect your cover as well as keep it clean.
Do NOT place anything on your cover such as inflatables, toys, step stools or anything of those. As your cover is exposed to all the elements especially the sun. Placing anything on top will cause it to melt your Styrofoam as well as weaken the material.
During the wintertime
Many people love using their spas during the winter season. It is an incredible, exhilarating feeling soaking in the hot bubbling water while snow is falling all around you or gazing up at the stars. Simply remember to clear snow from atop of your cover. Although hot tub covers are designed to handle a load of snow, clearing the snow from atop will prevent any weight related damage. I cubic foot of snow approximately weights 15-20 pounds. If you have a 7’x7’ or 8’ by 8’ cover you can imagine all the extra weight on top of your cover. The best way to clear the snow is with a broom or a brush. Using a shovel could lead to a rip or a tear in the cover. Clearing your cover of any snow will also prevent any ice from building up and avoid the possibility of damage.
During the fall time
As we have many leaves that fall down in Knoxville, TN eventually over time a pile of leaves can weigh up. Simply take a broom or brush and remove all the leaves. During this time as well, you will notice pollen. Simply take some warm water and a damp cloth and remove any pollen stuck on the cover.
During the summer time
not much needs to happen during this time. Simply keep any debris, toy, or accessories off of the cover to prevent it from sticking to the cover during the hot summer months. Occasionally wipe your cover down with a damp cloth as then treat it with a conditioner.
